UNLV 75, Fresno State 71--David Butler scored 19 points, and the No. 18 Rebels escaped an upset bid by the Bulldogs at Las Vegas.
Fresno State (12-12) pulled within 73-71 on a three-point shot by Jervis Cole with 28 seconds left, but Greg Anthony made two free throws for Las Vegas (20-6, 13-2) with six seconds left.
New Mexico State 82, UC Santa Barbara 81--Johnny Roberson and Willie Joseph scored 28 points each, and the Aggies held on at Santa Barbara to snap the Gauchos’ 15-game home win streak.
Santa Barbara (18-6, 9-6) rallied from a 13-point lead to within one in the final minute, but New Mexico State (17-8, 10-5) survived when Carrick DeHart missed a three-pointer with 18 seconds left.
Utah State 70, San Jose State 62--Reid Newey scored 20 points, and the Aggies dealt the Spartans their 14th straight loss at San Jose.
Dwain Daniels scored 22 points for San Jose (5-20, 1-15). Utah State (11-13, 9-6) won for the fifth time in six games.
