Bill Foster, basketball coach at Northwestern, doesn’t get many chances to describe victories thesed days but when he does, he’s not bad.
Here is what he said after his Wildcats rallied from a 16-point, second-half deficit in a recent 70-69 victory over Ohio State:
“We sort of caught a spark, kept going, kept going, and it became a flame for us.”
Rather a genteel way of describing what used to be called a barn burner.
