55 Freeway Lanes Closed After Crash

One person was airlifted to a hospital and all southbound lanes of the Costa Mesa Freeway north of the San Diego Freeway were closed after a three-car collision about 9:15 Thursday night.
One of the cars struck the center divider, CHP Officer Mike Lundquist said. All southbound lanes were blocked off so that a Life Flight helicopter could land.
