Cal Lutheran 10, La Verne 8--Dan Weiss was three for four and hit two home runs as the Kingsmen weathered a late eight-run rally to win their third consecutive nonconference game at Cal Lutheran.
Southern California College 5, The Master’s 3--Jeff Cole and Peter Wilson each homered for The Master’s (1-9-1, 1-3) in the NAIA District 3 game at Southern California.
SOFTBALL
Moorpark 5, Pasadena 0--Sophomore De Dow notched her third complete game and second consecutive shutout as the Raiders won a nonconference game at Moorpark.
Dow (3-0) struck out six and pitched a three-hitter.
CS San Bernardino 9-8, Occidental 1-1--The Tigers (0-3) were limited to a combined seven hits in a nonconference doubleheader at San Bernardino.
