WASHINGTON — The Justice Department filed criminal antitrust charges today against the former general sales manager of Borden Inc.’s plant in Orlando, Fla., accusing him of joining in a long-term conspiracy to rig bids on milk prices to area school boards.
The charges against Jack Parker Tribble Sr. were contained in a “criminal information” filed in U.S. District Court in Tampa, Fla.
The Justice Department’s antitrust division alleged that Tribble participated with “various corporations and individuals” not identified publicly in the conspiracy to manipulate contracts in a 39-county area in the Florida peninsula.
