Truvel Corp., a Chatsworth maker of computerized scanners, said Richard K. Gerlach plans to resign as chairman and chief executive in mid-March to become president of a newly formed venture.
Gerlach will become president of Vision Ten, which plans to sell a workstation that helps doctors analyze breast X-rays. The workstation will use a Truvel X-ray scanner, and Gerlach will continue as a consultant to Truvel.
Truvel said its president, Robert D. Chisum, is expected to assume Gerlach’s positions. Truvel also named Albert A. Hazan as executive vice president.
