In the 4-A:
Artesia 60, Loara 53 (OT)--Lesia Smith scored 29 points, including eight in overtime, to lead Artesia at Loara. Heidi Sorour scored 20 points and Tracy Titus had 12 points for Loara (17-12). At the end of regulation, Artesia’s Monique Tweebeeke sank the front end of a one-and-one to tie the score, 50-50.
Katella 49, Bishop Montgomery 30--Forward Joni Easterly scored 21 points for visiting Katella (23-3). Center Karen Jensen added 13 points.
In the 3-A:
Brea-Olinda 95, Sierra Vista 44--Tammy Blackburn (24 points), Aimee McDaniel (20 points, 10 assists), Jody Anton (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Jinelle Williams (13 points, 10 rebounds) led Brea-Olinda (24-2) at home.
La Quinta 68, Foothill 45--Amy Jalewalia scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds, and Tanya Krill had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Aztecs (22-3) at home. Tanya Foxe scored 13 points for Foothill.
In Small Schools:
Liberty Christian 73, Ribet Christian 28--Guard Sharon Crouch scored 30 points, had 18 rebounds and passed for seven assists to lead Liberty Christian (16-4).
