President Bush

Good news on the front page is a joy: “Bush’s Personal Touches Promote Bipartisan Spirit” (Part I, Feb. 6). President Bush’s inauguration speech was one of reconciliation. Reporting of crime, disasters, unresolved problems is necessary, for denial of problems only exacerbates what needs fixing. I’m hoping to see more stories of respect for government, government officials, and more cooperative actions, along with the usual reporting of whatever is going wrong.
