Florestone to Build New Plant in Madera

MADERA, Calif. — Officials of Florestone Inc., a Union City firm that manufactures molded bath and shower products, announced plans to build a $4.2-million plant in Madera.
Ronald Flores, chief executive of Florestone, said the firm will build a 150,000-square-foot plant that will have an initial work force of 85 that will expand to 125 within the first year.
Flores said the company was buying 15 acres at Madera’s Airport Business Park. He said construction is expected to begin within 90 days and that the plant should go into operation late this year.
