The California Young Playwrights Project picked its first Orange County winner, Michele L. Mitchell, and now the Grove Theatre Company in Orange County plans to produce excerpts from Mitchell’s play and two other CYPP winners--Beckie Anderson’s “Searching for the Big Dipper” and Lisa Kirazian’s “Not What the Doctor Ordered”--at the GEM Theatre in Garden Grove, at 3 and 7 p.m. Feb. 19.
