PREP BASKETBALL : Orange League Roundup : Savanna Clinches Title With Victory

Tim Tillman scored 17 points to lead Savanna High School to an 83-61 victory over Anaheim to clinch the Orange League title Friday at Anaheim.
Mustafa Abdi and Jim Priest scored 14 points for Savanna (23-2 overall and 9-1 in league). Savanna’s only league loss was to Western last week.
Savanna led, 39-28, at halftime and outscored Anaheim, 23-11, in the third quarter.
Jude Barbito scored 20 points and Danny Castro 19 for Anaheim (8-15, 1-9).
Brea-Olinda 85, Magnolia 53--Keith Walker scored 28 points to lead the Wildcats (19-7, 8-2) at Brea-Olinda. The Wildcats led, 18-5, at the end of the first quarter and 39-16 at halftime. David Dittman scored 11 points and Marc Shaw 10 for Brea-Olinda. Jason nester scored 12 points and Richard McKee 10 for Magnolia (10-12, 4-6).
Western 65, Valencia 41--Joe Romero scored 19 points to lead the Pioneers (17-6, 7-3) at Western. The Pioneers led, 17-4, at the end of the first quarter and 30-13 at halftime. Steve Dodd scored 16 points for Valencia (4-15, 1-9).
