A 35-year-old man was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of robbery and sexual assault in connection with the rape of a female employee of a local doughnut shop last month, police said.
Garry Foster Walker, described by police as a “transient,” was arrested by Santa Ana police in Santa Ana. He was being held Thursday night in a Costa Mesa jail facility in lieu of $75,000 bail, Costa Mesa Police Lt. Sam Cordero said.
The incident that led to Walker’s arrest occurred on Jan. 25, but Cordero declined to provide further details or release the name of the shop.
