Prep Basketball : South Coast League Roundup : Mission Viejo Stuns Irvine

Jim Butchko scored 19 points, Greg Amaya had 16 and Eric Cramer 14 to lead Mission Viejo High School to a 64-50 South Coast League victory over fourth-ranked Irvine Friday.
The Diablos (9-12 overall, 4-4 in league play) never trailed in the second half as they held Irvine’s high-scoring duo, John Molle and Brian Allred, in check with tough man-to-man defense. Allred had 11 points and Molle 10.
Irvine fell to 20-4 overall and 6-2 in league play.
