Sharon L. Anderson has been named vice president for project management at the Institute for Biological Research & Development Inc., Irvine. She had previously been executive director of clinical research programs. Before joining the company, she was supervisor at the Blood Bank Reagents Control Laboratory, part of the Hyland division of Travenol Laboratories. In addition, Janet Baltera, personnel manager since 1984, was appointed vice president of human resources. Previously, she worked in the human resources department of I. Magnin in San Francisco. The institute is a clinical research management company that provides services for new-product approval to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
