The nonprofit Crystal Stairs Child Care Resource and Referral Service provides parents with information on licensed family day-care homes and child-care homes in Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Gardena and other areas of Los Angeles. Information on the program, offered free through the state Department of Education, is available at 299-0199.
