Opponents of the partial merger of the Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press asked a federal appeals court to delay the business deal until a legal battle over the agreement is resolved. The group is asking the full 13-member U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to hear arguments for rejecting the merger.
