BOSTON — Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis became a grandfather today for the first time.
Alexandra Jane Dukakis was born at 8:48 a.m. in a Boston hospital after a Cesarean section. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces. The parents are Dukakis’ adopted son, John, and his wife, Lisa. “Mother and child are happy, healthy and resting comfortably,” said a spokesman for the failed presidential candidate. “The governor is really happy about this. He’s delighted at becoming a grandfather.”
