Burbank Police Identify Victims of Murder-Suicide

Burbank police on Friday identified a man and woman shot to death in what investigators said was a murder-suicide.
Lt. Thomas Hoefel said Robert Watson, 59, fatally shot Renee Watson, 31, with a rifle before turning the gun on himself. Police found their bodies about 6:45 p.m. Thursday in Robert Watson’s apartment in the 1600 block of San Fernando Boulevard near Grismer Avenue.
The Watsons did not live together, but police did not know if the couple were divorced or separated, Hoefel said.
Renee Watson, who lived in Tujunga with her 12-year-old daughter, was reported missing by a friend after she failed to pick up the girl after school Thursday.
Hoefel said the girl moved in with one of her grandmothers Friday.
