James A. Cronin III, president of Tiger International and its principal subsidiary, the air cargo carrier Flying Tiger Line, has been elected to the additional post of chief executive of both Los Angeles companies. Last year, Tiger International named Cronin, then president of Flying Tiger, to succeed Stephen Wolf as president of the parent. It also assigned three outside directors to select a chairman and CEO to succeed Wolf, who left to become chief executive of United Airlines.
