Power Outages

I am furious! How could Supervisor Thomas Riley approve thousands and thousands of new homes “mushroomed” into Laguna Niguel with no regard to the existing utilities (namely San Diego Gas & Electric Co.).
We experience a power failure whenever the temperature exceeds 80 or 85 degrees. On Sept. 3, we had a power failure for 8 1/2 hours, and on Sept. 4 another failure from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.
There are many elderly and retired people living in this wonderful community, but with temperatures approaching 100 degrees, it could be extremely dangerous to their health, and possibly fatal.
Perhaps Supervisor Riley, with all his power, could persuade SDG&E; to update our electricity source.
