With regard to an opinion referred to in Frank Clifford’s article (Part I, Sept. 6) that Democrat Leo McCarthy, who “lacks great personal magnetism,” has to do this and that to win against incumbent Republican Sen. Pete Wilson in November, give me a minute to stop laughing! Wilson is going to win on charm? He’s going to win with money, lots of it, to hoodwink the gullible, as usual.
