Local News in Brief : Plan Honors Founder of Children’s Center
- Share via
A Los Angeles City Council committee Tuesday approved changing the name of a one-block section of Victory Place in North Hollywood to Dubnoff Way, in honor of Belle Dubnoff, founder of the nearby Dubnoff Center for Child Development.
The block in question is between Cahuenga Boulevard and Clybourn Avenue, just west of the Los Angeles-Burbank border.
After approval by the Public Works Committee, the full council is expected to approve the name change, sponsored by Council President John Ferraro, next Tuesday.
The Dubnoff Center, a private, nonprofit facility that cares for children with moderate to severe learning disabilities, celebrates its 40th anniversary this month.
