Ballindaggin, ridden by Jose Santos, held off Canadian-owned Regal Classic in a furious stretch drive to win the inaugural running of the $1 million Molson Export Challenge for 3-year-olds at Woodbine in Toronto. Ballindaggin, in contention throughout the 1-mile race, took the lead at the top of the stretch. Ballindaggin paid $17.80, $7.80 and $5.20.
