UCLA Women Win Hawaii Volleyball Title

The UCLA women’s volleyball team, which upset top-ranked Hawaii Friday, beat Pepperdine, 15-5, 15-6, 15-9, to win the Rainbow tournament Saturday at Honolulu.
UCLA, ranked No. 5 nationally, defeated Hawaii, 14-16, 15-11, 15-7, 15-0, and No. 2-ranked Illinois, 15-11, 13-15, 18-16, 8-15, 15-2, in the three-day tournament.
In the Hawaii match, UCLA blew a 14-12 lead in the first game, then picked up momentum. Elaine Youngs scored 10 straight points in the final game before Hawaii got the serve.
