An Iranian alien who set himself on fire during a demonstration Friday outside U.N. headquarters in New York has died of his burns. Mehrdad Imen, 32, a registered alien from Los Angles, set himself ablaze as hundreds of Iranians demonstrated in a nearby park against the execution of dissidents in Iran. The rally was organized by the People’s Moujahedeen, an Iranian exile group seeking to overthrow the government of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
