Illegal Alien Problem
It has become clear over the last several years that nobody intends to do anything about the proliferation of illegal aliens that stand, live, litter and camp out through the newly incorporated cities of Encinitas and Carlsbad.
I know that if I attempted to perpetually loiter around street corners, disposing of my litter indiscriminately, and, after a period of time casually camped out on unimproved pieces of property under a tarp or piece of cardboard, cooked my food over an open fire, and then defecated out in the open without a tested septic system, the police from several jurisdictions and the health department from the County of San Diego would be all over me for violating myriad laws which are currently on the books.
Why doesn’t somebody do something about this problem? Why must we as law-abiding, tax-paying citizens constantly see our laws violated every day in front of our own noses? Don’t the new cities of Carlsbad and Encinitas have any pride in their new jurisdiction? Aren’t they concerned that people are throwing trash all over their unspoiled environmentally sensitive slopes and canyons? Many are willing to destroy the economy of San Diego by instituting initiatives. Is this to allow continued environmental abuse?
