Oxnard 41, Camarillo 23--Junior quarterback Johnel Turner ran for one touchdown and passed for another to lead the Yellowjackets at home.
Turner, who led Oxnard with 113 yards rushing, scored on a two-yard run, and fullback Bryant Taylor and halfback Walter Bell each scored on 60-yard runs as Oxnard built a 20-9 halftime lead.
Taylor, who rushed for 91 yards in 13 carries, added a seven-yard touchdown run, and Turner passed 54 yards to Bell in the third quarter as Oxnard extended its lead to 34-9.
Camarillo quarterback Wes Nathaniel passed 60 yards to Mitch King for his team’s first touchdown and wound up with 182 yards on 10 of 19 passing.
Kris Kirksey and Greg Exler scored fourth-quarter touchdowns for Camarillo.
