Human Error Blamed for India Train Crash

NEW DELHI — A government investigation into a train crash in southern India that killed 105 people and injured 200 others has blamed railroad workers for the accident, it was reported Thursday.
Nine of the 14 passenger cars on the Island Express derailed July 8.
The railway safety commissioner, K. Suryanarayana, who investigated the accident, said it was caused by the “failure of the railway staff,” the Press Trust of India news agency said. The report did not elaborate.
