An 11-year-old Santee boy was killed Wednesday and his 10-year-old companion was injured when they rode their skateboards into the path of a car.
Billy Lunn of the 10700 block of Magnolia Avenue died late Wednesday when he and a friend were struck by a car in the 10300 block of Princess Joann Road, Sgt. Bonita Bashe of the Sheriff’s Department said.
Lunn and Frankie Nevins of the 10400 block of Magnolia Avenue were riding their skateboards in a sitting position from a parking lot of a condominium complex onto Princess Joann Road when they were struck by a car driven by Katherine Rovanek, 80, of Santee.
