A 53-year-old woman found dead in her Stanton mobile home was beaten and stabbed to death, an autopsy revealed Thursday.
Ann Turner was found dead at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday by her husband when he returned from an errand, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson. There was no sign of forced entry, and nothing was missing from the home, Olson said. Sheriff’s investigators do not have any suspects, Olson said. In addition, authorities were not sure how long Ann Turner, an accountant, had been home alone at the Fernwood Mobile Home Park, where she lived with her husband, Jack, 56, and their 25-year-old daughter.
The 165-unit mobile home park is in the 10500 block of Western Avenue. Most of the residents are retired and said they have had no prior problems with crime in the quiet park.
