Beasley Broadcast Group has made a bid to acquire KRTH AM and FM in Los Angeles from RKO General. The amount of the bid was not disclosed. Both stations have an adult-oriented, “oldies” rock format, which Beasley plans to keep if the sale is completed, said George Beasley, founder of the Beasley Broadcasting Group. A purchase agreement would be subject to Federal Communications Commission approval.
