A federal appeals court in Chicago ruled that CNW Corp. may sell 208 miles of railroad without giving labor unions a voice in the sale. The decision upholds an earlier U.S. District Court ruling. The decision also bars a threatened strike against CNW’s Chicago & North Western Transportation Co. railroad by unions opposed to the proposed track sale.
