Braniff announced the appointment of four vice presidents: Mark S. Schneider, 38, promoted to vice president-planning and revenue development, Thomas J. Volz, 45, appointed vice president-marketing, Robert T. Pike, 42, promoted to vice president of labor relations and personnel, and Charles D. Gibbs, 49, who was named vice president-scheduling and route development.
Schneider will be responsible for development of the airline firm’s strategic planning, pricing and revenue development programs.
Volz, former president of Sunworld Airlines in Las Vegas, will be responsible for field sales, sales promotion and advertising.
Pike, formerly Braniff’s director of labor relations, joined the company last year after six years with AirCal. He will be responsible for labor negotiations and administration of contracts.
Gibbs, before joining Braniff, was staff vice president-external market development for Trans World Airlines.
