Santa Monica : Senior Citizens Prom Planned

A senior citizens prom, sponsored by the city Department of Cultural and Recreational Services, the Music and Performing Arts Commission and the musicians union, is scheduled Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
Anyone 50 years old or older may attend the semiformal event, which will feature the big band music of Kenny Sheldon and his orchestra. Free refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
Tickets, which are free, are required for entrance and may be obtained from the Senior Recreation Center, 1450 Ocean Ave. For more information call (213) 394-1227.
