Blunt Memos to Yaroslavsky

I have known Berman for 25 years. He is many things, but he is not racist. It should be evident from the candidates he and D’Agostino have helped get elected that he is far less interested in color than in convictions.
What makes Berman unique in politics isn’t that his humor is occasionally tasteless and always irreverent, but that he actually has a sense of humor.
While some campaign organizations will do anything for a buck, BAD has never worked for a racist, a reactionary or a Republican. And not because they haven’t been asked.
The outfit is BAD, but the men behind it are good.
