Bodies of 2 Killed in Jet Crash Not Identified

PERRIS, Calif. — The bodies of two people killed in the fiery crash of a private jet near here were too badly burned and mangled to be identified by usual means, authorities said Monday.
The twin-engine jet slammed into the ground Saturday after its pilot requested permission to land at March Air Force Base, about 30 miles southeast of its destination of Chino, officials said.
“We know who was supposed to be on board, but we haven’t been able to independently confirm that information,” Deputy Riverside County Coroner Rick Bogan said.
He said attempts will be made to find witnesses who can attest to who actually boarded the plane, adding that, “if that fails, we’ll just have to release the names we have.”
