Emerson Electric Buys Powertec of Chatsworth

Powertec, a Chatsworth maker of power supplies used mainly in minicomputers and telecommunications equipment, has been bought for an undisclosed amount by Emerson Electric Co. of St. Louis.
Powertec was a division of Low & Bonar Corp., a Scottish company that bought Powertec in 1986 for $43 million.
