RIVERHEAD, N.Y. — A jury today found a 20-year-old student guilty of murder in the “Dungeons and Dragons” shooting deaths of his father and mother in their home last year.
The jury deliberated only 3 1/2 hours over a two-day period and rejected an insanity defense that Daniel Kasten’s mind at the time of the slayings was under the control of a character called the “Mind Flayer” in the “Dungeons and Dragons” game.
