Speaker of the House Jim Wright

In walking out on House Speaker Jim Wright (Part I, June 21), the group of Assembly Republicans demonstrated primitive, undisciplined, juvenile and undemocratic behavior.
The charges against Wright have not been substantiated. Until charges are proven against Wright, Ed Meese, or any other public official accused of wrongdoing, they are entitled to be treated with civility and respect. This conduct of most of the Republican legislators is reminiscent of the behavior of East Bloc countries.
As a registered Republican I would like to express my shame and embarrassment at the action of most of the Republican members of the Assembly.
