Local News in Brief : Hospital Awarded Grant

Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey announced that it has received a five-year, $3-million federal grant for research and training in its geriatric rehabilitation program.
The funds will be used to develop health programs for older people, conduct research in geriatric rehabilitation and train medical and allied health personnel in providing geriatric care, hospital officials said.
The medical center is operated by Los Angeles County’s Department of Health Services and affiliated with the USC School of Medicine.
