Boxer Brian Baronet, who died Friday from a brain injury after a fight in Johannesburg, South Africa, last week, was under suspension in the United States when he went into the ring, a newspaper said.

Baronet, 27, reportedly talked with slurred speech and fought sluggishly in his previous two fights, although he won both.
