Oceanside police said a 13-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his 12-year-old brother after finding their father’s revolver. Joseph Bixler died at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla shortly after being shot in the chest. Police said the boys were home alone on the first day of summer vacation from school when they found the gun.
