It is incomprehensible that the Calendar editor would claim in the italic precede that Njeri found “The Colored Museum” a “step forward.”
Njeri describes the pleasurable acceptance by the audience of the stereotypes playwright Wolfe supposedly satirizes.
She sees “The Colored Museum” audience missing the satire and enjoying an evening of theatrical entertainment. Did the editor read the entire article?
