About that flu Magic Johnson had during Game 2 of the National Basketball Assn. finals: We’re extremely grateful for his heart-of-a-lion performance on June 9, but he’s giving mere mortals (those adept at finessing two weeks of paid sick leave out of the real flu) a bad reputation with our bosses.
Tell us it was just a ploy to give the Pistons a few moments of false hope. He didn’t have the real flu--did he?
