Investment Banker Buys Stake in Newspaper Firm

Investment banker Richard Berman has acquired a 10.4% stake in a California newspaper publisher as an investment, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Berman said he bought 86,200 of Baker Communications Inc.’s common shares between June 10 and Oct. 10, 1987.
