The legal troubles continue for James (Godfather of Soul) Brown and his wife, Adrienne. The latter was arrested in South Carolina Wednesday for failing to appear on an earlier charge of possession of PCP. Deputies in South Carolina arrested her at the Browns Beech Island, S.C., home on a bench warrant issued by Richmond County, Ga., Superior Court, said Capt. James Whitehurst of the Aiken County Sheriff’s Department. Mrs. Brown signed a waiver of extradition Wednesday after her arrest and was taken to Augusta, where she was being held without bond at the Augusta-Richmond County Law Enforcement Center.
