I voted yes on Proposition 71, partly because I studied the proposal, but also because I read your reasonable editorials supporting it. I received no literature in support of it before the election, but on June 10, three days after the election, I received a mailed request for my vote. I am sure other voters received the same mailer much too late. Prompt arrival of this literature might have made a difference. In the future, supporters of propositions take note: Get the information to the voters in time for it to make a difference.
