Bicyclist Killed When Hit by Van

Police are investigating the death of a bicyclist who was struck by a van late Monday in Anaheim, Lt. Bill Wright said.
David E. Knoch, 18, of Anaheim was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center after being hit about 10:42 p.m. on Euclid Street north of Palais Road, Wright said.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate the victim, who had stopped breathing after the accident.
The driver of the van, a 22-year-old Anaheim man, told police that he was traveling north on Euclid when Knoch tried to cross the street in front of his van and was hit. He was released after questioning.
