Nick Beverley, who has been in the Kings’ organization since 1980, was named to the newly created position of director of player personnel and development by the NHL team.
Beverley, 41, has been a player, scout and minor league coach in his eight years with the Kings, who also named Bob Owen director of amateur scouting. Owen, 38, has been a scout with the team.
