Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland reshuffled her two-year-old Cabinet. Jan Balstad replaced Kurt Mosbakk as minister of trade and commerce, Church and Education Minister Kirsti Kolle Groendahl replaced Vesla Vetlesen as minister of developmental aid and Einfrid Halvorsen replaced Anne-Lise Bakken as minister for consumer affairs and administration. Brundtland kept seven women in her 17-member Labor Party government.
